The BORG

This was a piece of fan art I did for the new Star Trek series: PICARD.
Despite all the details, it is the simple but unique silhouette that makes it memorable and stand out in the Star Trek universe.
As a design, taking a recognizably human figure and moving just one element a bit away from we know it should be, like the face in this case, and it creates all sorts of tension in us.
The design is based on the original premise of assimilated technology, so new assimilated alien races must bring with them new tech and therefor allow for an updated look.
